5 Most Anticipated Xbox One Exclusives Coming in 2015

This is the year for the Xbox One. 2014, saw the Microsoft console play second fiddle to the PlayStation 4, but we saw some sort of fight back to break Sony’s hot streak. With that said, Xbox One has a solid line up of exclusives that, we have no doubt, could possibly make 2015 their year.

There are several games releasing for the Xbox One, and we take on the tough task of narrowing them down to just 5 Xbox One games that we’re looking forward to in 2015. Oh, and look for the bonus list of games in the end. Let’s get started…

#5. Fable Legends

If you’re a fan of the Fable Series, Fable Legends will get you super excited for what’s in store; and you might as well get yourself an Xbox One, because it’s not releasing on any other platform, Designed primarily with an emphasis on cooperative multi-player game-play, this role-playing game pits four heroes against a villain trying to prevent the group from completing objectives. The fun part is that you can also step into the role of a villain if you feel like squashing heroes.

Release Date: 2015, Month and Date unconfirmed yet.

#4. Cuphead

Now, this is something I could really get used to! As far as platformers go, Cuphead is one of the more interesting ones that we’ve seen. The story is similar to Ghost Rider (LOL!), where the player has to repay his debt to the devil; except, there’s no bike, and flaming skulls – however, you are treated to some stunning 1930’s style animation, a plethora of old school style bosses, and some of the most subverse and surreal elements you’ll see in a game!

This amazing single player, run and gun game is set to release in 2015, but no confirmed date yet.

#3. Quantum Break

Quantum Break for the Xbox One has some real potential, and from what we’ve seen, we’re easily looking at one of the best games of 2015. While the story line is a little cheesy, it does reek of potential. The story revolves around a time travel experiment gone bad, leaving 3 people with powers to manipulate time. One of them is the villain, who can see through time and impact the present, while the other two (heroes obviously), can stop time.

Unlike other time stopping games (Prince of Persia: Sands of Time, most notably); Remedy Entertainment actually consulted a theoretical physicist, to help write the plot so that it adheres to theoretical physics in the most accurate way.  From what we can see in the trailer, it looks and plays amazingly well. This is one game, we can’t wait for!

#2. Crackdown

If you’ve played and loved Crackdown earlier on the Xbox 360, you’re sure to want this on your list. For those who haven’t; it’s a 3rd person, open world game designed and created by David Jones (GTA and Lemmings), and is set to release in 2015 (hence on the list!). Anyway, the world of Crackdown itself is massive, hyper and to say the least, groundbreaking from a visual standpoint.

If mayhem, destruction and chaos in an open world is your thing, Crackdown for the Xbox One will ensure you never look at an open-world game, the same way again….ever!

#1. Halo 5: Guardians

The announcement of a new Halo title, is sure to get everyone excited. It’s not just the fanboys we’re talking about, but when Halo 5: Guardians was announced, it almost instantly became our most anticipated Xbox One game!  While, there are little details surrounding this game, we do know that, Master Chief is missing, and Spartan Locke is tasked with hunting down Master Chief and solving a mystery that threatens the entire galaxy. Presumably, because they were attacked first, or some sort of all-out-war broke out.

Either way, you cannot deny the success of the franchise, and Halo 5: Guardians is our most anticipated Xbox One of 2015!

and now..as promised, the bonus!

Rise of the Tomb Raider

OK, so not exactly the bonus you might have been expecting, but the reason it’s down here, and not up there, is because Rise of the Tomb Raider isn’t exactly an Xbox One exclusive. It’s going to make it’s way to other platforms; but will launch initially on the Xbox One.

If you enjoyed the reboot that came out in 2013, this is the sequel to that game. The best part is that Rhianna Pratchett is returning to write the sequel. That should make for an interesting storyline, and more importantly, from what we saw at E3; Rise of the Tomb Raider, is certainly something to be excited about; and you get to experience it first of the Xbox One.

How will all of these games rate? Only time will tell, until then stay tuned!
