Developer Rachel Bryk Commits Suicide

The gaming community has lost a gem far too early. Rachel Bryk, a developer of the Dolphin emulator, reportedly killed herself by jumping off the George Washington Bridge into the Hudson River on April 23. She was 23-years-old.

Bryk was a well-known figure in many social media and gaming circles due to her work, and these same communities mourned her death. Those who worked with her at Dolphin described her as a hard worker and someone who tried to make the software better by doing work that no one else really wanted to do.

However her friends have come out and said it wasn’t cyber bullying that’s killed her but Rheumatoid Arthritis and fibromyalgia, a combination she feared was incurable and would only get worse with time.
