Diablo 3 Patch 2.4.0: New Zone, Expanded Areas And New Features

Good news for fans of Diablo III: Reaper of Souls as developer Blizzard took the wraps off the patch 2.4.0 at the BlizzCon 2015, revealing a slew of new content and features.

Patch 2.4.0 will be the next big update for the popular game and is set to bring new events, more loot, the new zone Greyhollow Island, expanded areas, several new monsters, as well as Set Dungeons. The feature list was disclosed by Blizzard on Friday, Nov. 6, at the BlizzCon 2015.

“We draw ever closer to the Public Test Realm for Patch 2.4.0, and it’s time to take a look at what the next patch for Diablo III: Reaper of Souls has to offer! We recommend you grab a drink, maybe a snack, and get comfy-there are loads of new items, features, and quality of life changes to cover,” notes Blizzard.

The patch will bring in its folds a New Zone dubbed Greyhollow Island, which will be accessible to gamers only via the Adventure mode. The mysterious island is home to unusual creatures and is quite deadly.

Gamers will also benefit from Expanded Areas post the patch namely The Royal Quarters and The Eternal Woods, which were inaccessible previously to heroes of Sanctuary. This will again be accessible to Adventure mode gamers and one will be able to seek out new bounties and events. Basically, the Ruins of Sescheron extend to The Eternal Woods and Leroic’s Manor will give access to The Royal Quarters.
