Kevin Feige, Marvel Studios President, has revealed that the first three phases of the Marvel Cinematic Universe will be known as The Infinity Saga.

When we look back at all the MCU movies, each phase has ended with a major Avengers team-up movie. Evidently, Avengers: End Game, is the last of the series and the biggest team up of all the movies thus far. Of course the build up has been a decade in the making, but the execution so far has been near flawless.

“We wanted to bring to a conclusion a series of movies in a way that had never been done before,” Feige says regarding the decision to use the Infinity Saga title. “Harry Potter had an ending because there were only so many books. Lord of the Rings too. But we thought, 22 movies in, wouldn’t it be fun to bring some finality to the storyline.”

With this naming convention, I think I’m even more excited to see what the MCU has in store. I get the feeling that with the 20th Century Fox acquisition – could we see Hugh Jackman’s cameo? For sure, the next arc will include The Fantastic Four and The X-Men. Team ups and face offs? I think so very much too!
