PS3 users continue to grow frustrated as the new update for the PS3 version of Black Ops 2 has just gone live on the PlayStation Network, but does not address if the random crashes that players have been experiencing since launch, has been fixed.
Since its launch, the PS3 version of Black Ops 2 has faced numerous issues ranging from connectivity problems in multiplayer to random crashes in both single and multiplayer portions of the game. The new patch aims to fix some of these issues, namely by fixing the “Awaiting Textures” hang that happens on loading maps on occasion.
Other issues addressed by the patch include stability for the Theater and Live Streaming modes, fixes to various exploits, and a whole bunch of gameplay balances.
What’s really annoying is that there’s no word on whether the new patch fixes the random crashes that players have been experiencing since launch, but it’s surely a move in the right direction for the game.
At this point the PC and Xbox 360 versions are the way to go, where it enjoys better stability than its PS3 counterpart. Sad for PS3 users 🙁
