Here’s list of great games to keep an eye out for in 2025 releasing for the PlayStation 5. Some of these games are across platforms but the most anticipated games of 2025 for PlayStation 5 only are Ghost of Yōtei, Death Stranding 2: On The Beach, Where Winds Meet. There are certainly more and several exclusives lined up, but these 3 are the main ones we are looking forward to.
Ghost of Yōtei

- Synopsis: A sequel to Ghost of Tsushima, this title introduces a new protagonist, Atsu, and takes players through the scenic regions surrounding Mount Yōtei in the Edo period. Expect snowy terrains, expansive grasslands, and the same epic samurai action. This certainly tops most people’s list of most anticipated games of 2025!!
Hell is Us

- Synopsis: A narrative-driven adventure blending exploration with visceral melee combat. Players face off against supernatural creatures in a world overshadowed by a civil war and mysterious forces.
Assassin’s Creed Shadows

- Synopsis: Set in feudal Japan, players embody both a shinobi Assassin and a samurai. With expansive open-world exploration and stealth-action mechanics, this installment promises to be one of the most immersive Assassin’s Creed entries.
With a lot of success in the recent past across the oriental spin on games, Assassin’s Creed Shadows is easily one of the most anticipated games of 2025, in addition to being one of most anticipated Assassin’s Creed games to come out in a long time!
DOOM: The Dark Ages

Death Stranding 2: On The Beach

- Synopsis: Sam Bridges returns in this sequel to Death Stranding, embarking on a mission to prevent humanity’s extinction while tackling surreal threats and exploring breathtaking landscapes.

Like a Dragon: Pirate Yakuza in Hawaii
