After a series of super heroes like Iron Man, Superman, Batman, Hulk, Captain America, Spider-man and many more, we now think it is a woman’s turn to take center stage. No, we are not joining any feminist movements, but it would be a breath of fresh air to see a woman take charge and save the world, specially when in the comics world there are many.
We are obviously not even considering Cat-woman – that was a total disaster! We need somebody famous, somebody cool, somebody with superhuman powers and somebody who is undoubtedly the most famous heroine in the world of super heroes. Whom are we talking about? None other than the passionate, sexy and tough Wonder Woman!
An integral part of the Justice League, we are surprised that till date nobody has given this glamorous super-heroine the pedestal that she so totally deserves! Yes, a movie was definitely made in the 1970s starring Cathy Lee Crosby as Wonder Woman but it didn’t make an impression. Nobody talks about the movie; in fact we will be surprised if somebody even knew that a movie on Wonder Woman even existed. There are few Wonder Woman short films made, but well, it’s not a full blown movie, although it does show promise.
The hit TV series from the same era did some justice to this Justice League diva and the show did capture a lot of comic book fans, but again that was decades ago. This generation doesn’t even know just how awesome Wonder Woman is. Like, did you guys know that she has a range of cool weapons (Batman in her own league) with things like Lasso of Truth, a tiara that turns into a projectile and bracelets that can do more damage than you can think and of course these bracelets are indestructible! She has fought and defeated villains like Cheetah, Circe, Ares, The Circle, Genocide and many more monsters (especially from the Greek Mythology). And just like Batman she goes by the incognito name Princess Diana – cool eh?
She is strong, she is fast, she is beautiful and one heck of a superhero. And she should definitely be on a big banner movie dedicated only to her directed by the big shots of Hollywood and not just be a part of Man of Steel sequel where Batman and Superman steal the limelight from her. At best for now, we know that Gal Gadot is playing Wonder Woman, in the upcoming Batman vs. Superman movie.
So, hopefully someone out there is listening to us and starts writing a script if they haven’t already started!
