This Portal demo for Microsoft’s Hololens—an “augmented reality” headset that displays digital content on glasses overlaid on your outside vision—looks incredible. When the Hololens was announced, the possibilities seemed endless, but adoption seemed like it would take forever.

However with this Portal Demo, I’m pretty sure, it’s getting folks excited to own one.
Microsoft HoloLens was unveiled at Microsoft’s 21 January Windows 10 event and was, initially, slated for a 2016 release. Now, six months after US orders for the Development and Commercial editions opened up, those of us in the UK and Europe can finally pre-order a HoloLens for delivery on 30 November 2016.
