“Sin City” on TV?

The last time we heard of this was back in 2005 after the success of the first movie. Though, it did not progress much due to the delays with the sequel of the 2005 Sin City movie. The Weinstein Company’s Harvey Weinstein told New York Times in a recent interview that after the release of Sin City: A Dame to Kill For, he is hoping to follow a TV show. If it does, will the TV show stay true to comics? We hope so. While Robert Rodriguez maintained the comics’ neo-noir theme (with Frank Miller as the co-director, I guess it was a given). But when this is adapted for TV, we hope this is still retained. The only way it would work is if it was picked up by HBO or Showtime, where the explicit content is not censored. Well, it just wouldn’t work any other way – can you imagine it on CW or NBC?. Keeping the to theme is what worked for the movie too. It was 80%-85% of the original comics. The violence, the blood, the scantily clad / nude women from the comics, were the same in the movie. The voiceovers by characters such as Marv – they just leave you speechless!

SinCity

Sin City: A Dame to Kill For is scheduled for release on August 22, 2014. We are hoping for the same intensity as the first. For those unaware & are wondering how the characters are returning for the second movie – this is a prequel.

Harvey, we too are hoping an adaptation of the comics makes it to the TV!
