5 Most Anticipated Games in February 2014

You gotta love February, it’s valentines month – but for most gamers, like every month, we want to get a sense of what games are coming up. Ladies, if you’re reading this, and you want to get your gamer man something he’ll love, read on…works for gamer girls too. 🙂 Having said that, the last few months have been awesome for the gaming scene, new consoles, new technologies and some stunning new games, but Feb is looking solid, and more importantly, it’s going to be the start of a great year ahead. Let’s get started with our 5 most anticipated games for February 2014.

#5. Fable Anniversary

 


It’s been 10 years, since Fable debuted on the Xbox. It took a very different route on the RPG track, and many hailed it to be THE way RPGs should be played. It introduced you to a persistent world in which your deeds had lasting ramifications and moral consequences. 10 years later, Fable Anniversary, is making its way to the Xbox 360. If you were a fan of Fable back in the day, then you should get your hands on Fable Anniversary.

#4. The Wolf Among Us: Episode 2 -Smoke and Mirrors

 


You no doubt enjoyed, Wolf Among Us Episode One: Faith, if so, Episode 2 is one that you do not want to miss. Bigby continues investigating for the ‘now-serial killer’ walking the streets of Fabletown. He also attempts to find answers from Faith’s pimp: Georgie Porgie, and becomes more involved with Beauty and Beast’s affairs.This is one episode that seems to have it all together, we can’t wait. On a side note, the next episode of The Walking Dead is also something you’d want to look forward to, if this style of gameplay floats your boat.

#3.  Lightning Returns: Final Fantasy XIII

 


The epic conclusion to one of the most epic sagas in the series.

#2. Thief

 

Many are calling it, ‘The Most Anticipated Reboot’, OK, maybe it’s just us, should we even call it a reboot?…either way, but this is one game we can’t wait to get our hands on. Garrett returns in what only seems to be the biggest, baddest and most gorgeous looking Thief game. This first-person adventure features intelligent design that allows players to take full control, with freedom to choose their path through the game’s levels and how they approach and overcome each challenge.

#1. Castlevania: Lords of Shadow 2

 


Well, all this time, you’ve been battling Dracula, or at least several of his kind. What happens, when you become the prince of darkness himself. (although, I think he’d object to be being called that), anyway – Castlevania: Lords of Shadow 2 returns in an epic adventure set in an open, modern day world. Fans of the series will play as Dracula for the very first time and uncover the shocking secrets behind the “Lords of Shadow” saga! Dracula is resurrected once again, weakened and yearning for release from his immortal bonds. He is threatened by Satan, who has returned to bring about the apocalypse and ultimate revenge for his defeat all those centuries ago. Dracula must reacquire his powers of old and make a pact with Death in order to defeat the Devil, and gain his eternal rest. Also seeking Dracula’s destruction is the famed Belmont clan who has entered Dracula’s Castle. Here lies the truth behind their mysterious ancestry. The fight between good vs. evil comes to a close as Dracula is faced with his nemesis, Satan, and his ancestors’ unyielding quest for revenge.
