Warner Brothers are certainly bringing all the ladies to the DC cinematic universe.
Margot Robbie’s version of Harley Quinn hasn’t even made her big screen Suicide Squad debut yet, but Warner Bros. are already singling her out for her own spin-off which would reportedly incorporate several prominent female DC characers – heroes and villains – into the mix.
According to The Hollywood Reporter, an unnamed female screenwriter is working on the story, spurred by Robbie’s strong push after being cast for Suicide Squad. Robbie is reportedly acting as a producer of this as-yet-untitled film as well.
The Hollywood trade goes on to say that Batgirl and the Birds of Prey were bandied about by their unnamed sources in relation to this project, but in an unknown capacity.
You got your wonder if this is coming off the fact that the MCU is planning a Black Widow spinoff?
